Owning a swimming pool that is inside the house, is a blessing. Ask someone who doesn't have one. Landscaping around it adds to its ambiance and beauty. Here we provides some amazing ideas for you.
There are limitless possibilities to enhance the view in and around your swimming pool. Landscaping is a key component but, that is limited by our imagination. The choice of the same isn't always easy.
It can be done by including loads of plants, colorful gardens, existing trees, rock gardens, elevations, waterfalls, etc.
However, there are few important points to keep in mind. They are:
  • Never include trees that are too large or messy (they'll make maintenance difficult).
  • The color and design of the pool should be kept in mind while considering landscaping.
  • Design it in such a way that grass clippings and water run off, don't make way into the water again.

Plants

Plants, any time of the day or night, add beauty to the surroundings, besides providing privacy.
They help the pools to blend with the natural environment. Choose plants intelligently, for example, put plants that require less maintenance or avoid trees that attract pests or flowers that attract bees.

Fencing

Fencing and outdoor lighting are always a must. They are vital for safety especially when children are present. You can be creative in designing the fence, that can offer you privacy, for example, grow vines over the fence - it provides privacy to boot.

Patios

While building a swimming pool, you should keep in mind the idea of having a spacious patio. It's generally a relaxing area where adults can watch their kids enjoying and splashing water all around.
Make the surface of the patio rough, so that you can be assured of slip-resistant surface, when you climb out of the pool. You can equip it with barbecue. Its addition makes the patio a great place to spend afternoons and evenings with friends for drinks. The possibilities are endless, for example, you can add a gazebo in the patio too.

Lights

Low voltage lights create a spectacular effect, if added. These lights are often called 'malibu lights'. You can also opt for solar powered lighting that will lessen your electricity bill, plus their installation is quite simple.
Using ideas creatively, one can try to lighten the entrance, exit, or the walkaway. Providing small lights to the steps or stairs, is very striking yet provides a soothing environment. In short, lighting provides a revived look to the otherwise tired look.

Landscaping Rocks

Besides plants, trees, shrubs, and waterfalls, rocks also provide unique natural looks and helps to make them attractive.
They can vary in size, from large boulders to small rocks, and yet provide variety. Furthermore, they can be used instead of concrete edging for stepping stones.

Pool Waterfalls

Waterfalls are often incorporated in a swimming pool. This is a contemporary style and many hotels and resorts use this concept.
Indoor waterfalls cater a natural look, plus the sound of water falling from a height is very soothing to the ears. If a waterfall is built near it, you can relax there whole day long.
In addition to these, the furniture is an elegant idea for landscaping. There can be enough number of seats, tables, and chairs. Teak, all-weather wicker, and Adirondack chairs are very popular.
These designs require a good brainstorming session. More the originality of your landscaping, more beautiful will it be. Your styles and designs should be combined with logic, like keeping in mind the effects of climate and water safety.
