Dig holes in the ground, approximately just below the frost level using a hand-held post hole digger. It is very important for the holes to be larger than the actual size of the posts.
Make a 1 to 1½ inches of gravel base in the holes and then set the posts. This must be done to facilitate the drainage.
Filling in additional concrete is required to keep the post away from exposure to the moisture and freezing if you live in extremely cold weather.
Provide support to the poles with the help of waste 2" x 4" timber objects, until the concrete dries off.
Choose the roof truss design as per the size and the rise of the barn. Attach the roofing material that you want by using the roofing nails, without forgetting to overlap the sections.
Now just add a ridge cap on the top of the roof.
Your shed is now ready to be used. You can keep the natural dirt floor, i.e., a floor with the crushed stones. One can add the flooring as per the budget. Pole sheds must be built at a location that is near to the house or the place where the storing is required. Otherwise, it will turn out to be a lost cause.
